Here's the latest edition of MOC's Desktop Councilor, an email newsletter aimed at keeping you up-to-date on MOC activities and programs that impact your business. Thank you for your continued membership support.

MOC will be traveling to meet with heating oil retailers across the state beginning in September. A complete schedule can be accessed by following the link below, but MOC has set meetings for Cape Cod, the north shore, the Springfield/Auburn area, Pittsfield and a number of other locations. "With so much happening in our industry, we really believe that it's vitally important to get out and meet with retailers face- to-face to bring them up to date on all the important activities MOC has undertaken, and to listen to their concerns," said MOC's Michael Ferrante. A mailing listing all the dealer meetings will be sent to the industry shortly.

In cooperation with NEFI, MOC is proud to co-sponsor two propane training sessions this summer and fall. In August, well know industry educator Bob Hedden will host a Credit & Collections Seminar for Oilheat & Propane companies. Then from September - November, MOC and NEFI will hold multiple day and night Propane Certified Employee Training Programs (CETP). To register for these valuable sessions, please follow the link below to the MOC website. Both forms are under the 'Industry Training' button.

The MOC Golf Tournament is less than three weeks away. If you still wish to golf or have dinner, please contact an MOC staff member by the end of this week. If you have already registered and need directions to the course, click the link to the Pine Hills website below. The shotgun start will be at 9:00 a.m. sharp, so please come early to check-in. See you all there!

MOC would like to welcome new retail member, Chudy Oil Company of Three Rivers and owner Gerald Chudy to the Council.

Our featured preferred vendor this week is Burnham Hydronics based out of York, Maine. Burnham manufactures boilers, furnaces, radiators, air conditioning systems, and related accessories for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. They have eight major brand names, marketed through eight independent sales organizations that are differentiated by product line and markets served. To learn more call Jim McKenna @ 207-351-1048 or visit, www.burnham.com.
